THE GARDEN

Lyndoch Hill is fortunate to be surrounded by a remarkable garden, with over 30,000 roses, stretching across 15 acres (6.5 Ha).

The Garden was built by a famous Barossa character and previous owner of Lyndoch Hill, Mr. Hermann Thumm.

In 2002, this remarkable gentleman invited and succeeded in hosting HRH Queen Elizabeth for the official opening of the Garden

Lyndoch Hill Garden is one of the most important rose gardens in the world, perhaps holding the largest collection of roses from the worlds famous rose breeders.

The property is under constant management and maintenance,  and is fact is curently under a renovation program. So please forgive us if when you visit the garden is not at its best . . . !

We promise we are working on it! WE have struck up a love affair with the garden and hope to return it to the glory of its opening days if not better!
